Mt. Sanitas is a hike that can be done as a loop with a great summit overlooking Boulder. It is approximately 3.2 miles round trip with 1,200 ft. of elevation gain.

The Cottonwood trail is a favorite walk from the house. You can access it via bike path by crossing the stream behind the mailboxes and trash hutch or drive 3 mins to the parking area. The gravel trail is lined by a stream fed by Boulder Creek, and a lovely 3.5-4 mile stroll (depending if you go straight from the house). On the way back you get great views of the iconic Flatirons.

You can access it via bike path by crossing the stream behind the mailboxes and trash hutch or drive 3 mins to the parking area. The gravel trail is lined by a stream fed by Boulder Creek, and a lovely 3.5-4 mile stroll (depending if you go straight from the house). On the way back you get great views of the iconic Flatirons.
If you enjoy disc golf, this is just a short walk away and a great activity. There is a set of discs in the entry way by the kitchen, feel free to use and put back :)
