Brianhead is a fun place to be year round. SKiing from December to April and really nice hiking and mountain biking in the summer. The resort has several fesitvals during summer making for a cool escape from Vegas or St. George.

You have to see Zion National Park. Best tip is come mid week and get here early. You have to use natural gas powered shuttle buses for most of the park and they fill up fast. Best hikes are Angles Landing and the Narrows. But, there are lots of others to choose from. If you can handle the ropes , the view at the end of Angles Landing is incredible!

Traveler advice

Ways to save

No water bottles

City of Brianhead water tastes great! It is pure and healthy. No reason to waste your money on bottled water. Save that money for more important things like beer or wine. :)
What to pack

No four inch stilletos

Hygge house is in the middle of a mountain with 54 stairs to access it. Please wear hiking shoes/walking shoes./tevas . AKA appropriate footwear for Brianhead.
What to pack

Bring warm comfy clothes

It can cool off fast in the mountains when your 10,000 feet above sea level. Bring warm layers even when visiiting in the summer.
Don't miss

Homemade baked goods

At a gas station across the street from the Maverik in Parowan, there are most delicious homemade cookies, muffins, cakes and some really good sourdough and french bread. If your lucky they will not be sold out when you are on your way up the mountain to Hygge house.
Getting around

Brianhead resort bus

You can use the shuttle to get from Hygee House down to the resort area. The shuttle stop is at the end of Eagles Roost. Please check Brianhead resort website/a00 for schedule as it changes during the ski season.
