If you feel like taking a trip to a different part of the city, Discovery Park is the crown jewel of Seattle parks. Across 534 acres, you can hike in the forest, walk along the beach, see views of Mt. Rainier, the Olympics, and Mt. Baker. My favorite spot to enter the park is from the south parking lot, where it leads out to a huge field that looks over the whole Puget sound.
