Short and oh so sweet, the half mile Whale Rock Trail is magical with its winding route on a boardwalk through the greenery, emerging adjacent to Camp Varnum (National Guard military base) and out onto a "secret beach" with amazing views and large rocky coastline. You can generally have this magical place almost to yourself.
