Drinks & Nightlife

World famous jazz club walking distance from the house. Live music Thursday - Sunday. Check their website for music schedule and cover charge. Depending on who is playing, you might need reservations for dinner. Warm nights you can chill out on the porch and enjoy the music. On Saturday and Sunday a young couple operate the Deer Head Inn as "The Morning Cure" and serve brunch.

This is not my cup of tea, but many people who visit the area do want to know where it is so I thought I'd list it here for you! PA still does not tax clothing so many from out of state enjoy stocking up.

You can walk to this trail from the house. From the trailhead, it's about a two mile hike up to the top. Great views.

The Appalachian Trail on the other side of "the gap" in NJ. You technically can walk to this trail from the house, but the walk includes walking over the Rt. 80 bridge, which is not for everyone. You can drive over. It's about a 4 mile hike to the top of Tammany with great views of the gap and Sunfish Pond (a glacial pond at the top of the mountain).
