End all be all, one stop shop local legend. I might be over hyping Gott's but it's the cornerstone of the backside. Last minute groceries, smores, propane, gas, liquor, beer, groceries and deli with take out.

No frills Southwest Harbor Grocer. Not my favorite grocery store but works in a pinch. They do have a decent deli, and perfectly fine for pantry items.

Go to health food store for items you just can't get from standard issue grocery stores. Small but fierce bulk foods section. Also has in store juice, coffee, pastry bar.

Main Island grocery store. Great produce section when not sold out. Can get very congested so choose timing carefully if easily frustrated with crowds. Hannaford's as a company focuses on locally sourced products and has a solid store brand for most items. There's also one in Ellsworth if you prefer even more selection and don't mind driving off island, or if you are in that area, can be less congested than busier Island store.
