(2min drive - or easily walkable!) I love going for a walk that starts on a trail directly behind the Hiram Town Hall. This walk follows the Ossipee River all the way down to the Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds. You'll find plenty of great swimming holes along the way. It's also a great for cross country skiing in the winter.

Local Farms

(7min drive) This place is incredible... I might be a bit biased because this is where I grew up and the farm has been in my family since 1949. The farm is gorgeous and has beautiful views of the rolling hills in our valley. We have the only certified organic apple orchard in Maine - you can pick your own! Apple Acres has both indoor and outdoor dining and makes the best pizza in the area - stone fired, thin crust, and with local ingredients. We also make paninis, salads, and have a great selection of craft beer and hard cider. Of course, you'll have to try the cider donuts, fudge, pies, and sweet cider.

First Fruits is an Amish Market that opened in summer 2022. Since it can't be found online, Airbnb is requiring I list First Fruits by its address. But this is a substantial building with produce, baked goods and other groceries. In general - watch out for their horses & carts on all roads in the area. Especially at dawn/dusk.
