Great atmosphere in a beautiful historic small square that is just some meters from the beach. They have great seafood, I would advise trying octopus and different options of Moqueca, Brazilian’s fish stew or vegetarian version as well.

Sightseeing

Calhetas beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of São Sebastião. It has a great garden on the way and on the beach as well where you can have a fab view of the sea and Ilhabela. It's a wonderful and peaceful piece of white sand. It looks and feels like a tropical lost island with its palm trees and blue sea. it is hidden from the general public most of the time. If you are lucky, you might spot turtles eating close to the rocks in the left side.

It's a nice place with a great view. Anyway, it's a pleasant short walk into the Atlantic forest and a place to admire the view of the sea. You really need to take care with the slippery rocks and DO NOT jump into the water.
