A beautiful crescent of golden sand beloning to the National Marine Park.
From the end of June, the sea turtles Caretta Caretta come to lay their eggs. Out of 1 thousand eggs only very few hatch.
If you are lucky you might see little turtles coming out of their nests early in the morning or at sunset.
Please just admire them without interfering as they need to walk by themselves to the water, to be strong enough to swim.
The beach is not accessible between sunset and 7am, to allow nature to do its magic.
No bars or watersports on the beach and no dogs allowed.
Enjoy a wonderful sunset at Gerakas beach and a swim in the cleanest sea!
