Getting around
Getting around the island.
Lefkada is an island, and its most famous beaches are quite a few minutes away from the city centre. Apart from the occasional buses, the only way to get around safely and comfortably is by car.
However, guests should not miss the chance to walk around the old town of Lefkada, and witness the true traditional beauty of the place, hidden in its picturesque alleys.
Customs and culture
West vs East
Guests should be aware that the west side of the island is facing the open sea, and therefore its waters are steeper and wilder on occasion, without taking anything from its beauty.
Thus, those who prefer calmer waters, and perhaps safer for their children, can choose the east side, which can satisfy every guest's taste.
One thing is for sure; one should never leave Lefkada without visiting both sides during their stay!
