Set in 80 acres of glorious parkland, Lytham Hall and its grounds are a gem in the crown of the Fylde coast. The Hall itself has been described as the finest Georgian home in the county and hosts tours every day. But it’s the grounds where you can get carried away as there is a pets corner and vegetable and garden hub to explore, statues to explore and a brilliant cafe to enjoy home-made food. The grounds are free to explore with car parking starting at just £1.

Following a multi-million pound investment, the Fairhaven area of the Fylde has become a magnet for day trippers over an uncertain summer. A new mile-long walkway between the lake and Lytham Green - called Church Scar - is fantastic and gives amazing views of the Granny’s Bay beauty spot. The Lake itself also boasts a new sea wall defence completed this year, the Spitfire memorial monument and its north end, a brand new brilliant crazy golf course, two adventure playgrounds, a wildlife reserve where thousands of migrating birds can be seen and a cafe.

City/town information

From the tranquility of Ashton Gardens to the miles of coast stretching from Lytham Green right up to the start of Blackpool’s South Shore. There’s four (yes, FOUR) world class golf courses within a few miles of each other - one of the only places in the world where these “links” courses can be found. The Open has been played here many times in the past at Royal Lytham & St Annes, and its qualifying rounds take place at The Old Links, Fairhaven and Green Drive. St Annes is also home to a number of unique events, including in its Carnival at the start of July, through to a music and arts festival in August and culminating in the International Kite Festival in September - attended by thousands every year.

Public transport is very good across the Fylde coast

From trams to taxis, buses to black cabs, there is a plethora of public transport available for getting from A to B on the Fylde.
Don't miss

Blackpool attractions

Just a short drive or bus ride and a few tram stops are amazing attractions in Blackpool. From the Pleasure Beach to the Zoo, three amazing piers, theatres and the night life, there is something for everyone. Best to book in advance for the attractions though, it can get VERY busy.
