Food scene

The location of this winery is stunning and only a short walk away from our BnB. Frind is a winery but they have a great place called Annie's Beach Cafe (which has a wood-fired pizza oven) that would be great for the young ones.

This winery has stunning views and is less than a 5-minute drive away. The Old Vines Restaurant at the location serves some delicious food as well, for us the dessert wine is a must-have.

If you are in need of a refreshing drink on a hot day, or just a simple cup of coffee, this is the place to go. They also have bannock that they make in a variety of forms like sandwiches and donuts, all of them are delicious. Our favourite items are the Saskatoon Berry Smoothie and the Iced Matcha Lavender.

Sightseeing

Gellatly Bay Park is the home to a 2 km boardwalk along the water that connects multiple parks. Rotary Park offers a grassy park and picnic tables, the Gellatly Dog Beach has a safe fenced-in area where dogs can run about, Willow Beach can be a nice spot for a dip in the lake, and the Gellatly Aquatic Park where diving boards, zip lines and a wharf can be found. Lastly, at the end of the walk, be sure to take a wander into Gellatly Nut farm where beautiful hazelnut, walnut, buartnut, and chestnut trees grow. Pro tip: If you have bikes, feel free to easily bike to the boardwalk by riding down Pritchard, then turning left down Old Boucherie Road and hooking onto the bike trail all the way to Gellatly.

City/town information

Just across the bridge, visitors can venture into downtown Kelowna. Nightlife in downtown Kelowna thrives during the summertime, so be sure to check out the many restaurants, shops, and outdoor concerts. The Bohemian Cafe is one of our favourite breakfast places here (the French toast is amazing).
