Restaurants

Mountain Dale (and many of the surrounding locales) is a small town - it’s always best to check ahead for hours of local establishments as they may be subject to change. You can find the latest info on Instagram @visitmountaindale.
One of our favorite Mountain Dale spots. Amazing sourdough pizza and really chill vibes, with a big patio in warm weather. Usually has live music Thursday - Saturday. Get the trout salad!!!

We love High Voltage! The food is always fantastic and the people are awesome. In the warmer months the outdoor Creek Bar hidden behind the restaurant is pretty damn magical. Check their website/Instagram for hours and live music happenings.

Not our first choice for pizza (that would be The Dale, of course) but has more extended hours and is pretty close to the house.

We sometimes stop at this craft brewery on our way up to the house from the city (it’s about 25 mins away from the house). It’s a cool place with decent eats (if a bit on the heavy side) and really fantastic beers. Great place to stock up on brews for the weekend.

One of our favorite hikes close to the house. From here you have several trail options, including one that ends at a waterfall you can splash around in, and others that go along the beautiful Neversink.

In warmer months, head over to this farmers market on Saturdays (tip, go early for the best greens) to stock up on local produce, mushrooms, pickles, plants, cider, and meats, usually with some live music going on. Do yourself a favor and buy cider from Aaron Burr Cidery and stuff for the grill from Majestic Farms!
