This is a beautiful castle in a secluded beautiful setting. They have a book store that gets you past the security gate, as long as they don't have any big groups booked. You can also check out their website to book a 'tea'. It's worth the time. And it's only 5+ minutes away.

Traveler advice

What to pack

water bottle, lip gloss, and sunscreen lotion/hat

Colorado Springs is at 6,100 feet above sea level. Manitou Springs is higher, Woodland Park is over 8,000 feet above sea level. Having water on hand is a must. If you don't hydrate you will get a headache, feel light headed, etc. And because it's a sunny, dry climate, lip gloss and sunscreen is a friend.
