Traveler advice

Getting around

Bus, uber/lyft, lightrail, street car

Buy the ORCA card which is accepted by all public transportation service. Getting to city from the airport takes around 25-30 minutes by uber/lyft. There is also a lightrail station at the airport and it takes around 45 minutes to reach Cap Hill station.
What to pack

Rain jacket or umbrella, winter down jackets

If you are traveling during non-summer months then make sure that you carry a rain jacket or an umbrella (since it's Seattle). Winter can be a little cold (low 40s) and it's recommended to carry a couple of down jackets along with sweatshirts to stay warm. Seattle usually gets snowfall once a year but doesn't last for more than 2-3 days.
Book before you go

Pike place food tour

There is a daily food tour organized at the pike place market which can be a great experience if you are visiting the city for the first time and try out different food specialities by local vendors.
