Putnam is about half an hour away from the house and has the classic small-town New England feel. With a walkable downtown filled with shops and restaurants. It's off the beaten path a bit it's not typically super busy which is great!

There is a trail called the Fairy Trail in this park and it has a bunch of little fairy homes that have been built by people on the trail. Great little adventure for kiddos

Mohegan Sun is one of the best Casinos I've ever been to... and we lived in Vegas for a while. Tons of games, Tons of Food, Heck there's even an adventure park for the kids.
