Just wanted to share with you how to get to our place by car, from the airport, from railway and bus stations, and also going to the center of the city.
You can easily navigate your way around with Google / Apple location services or you give a try to moovit app for transport options in Sofia. It is very useful and friendly to operate with and I would recommend it. You may download it from here: https://moovitapp.com/

Please be advised that there is no Uber / Lyft in Bulgaria.
If you arrive by car, let we remind you that there is no parking spot for the apartment. It is Green paid parking zone in front.
FREE parking places, there are everywhere around the city outside of the green and blue zones. The closest one to the apartment is just opposite of the Central Railway Station, within 7-8 min walk or 1 subway stop away.

Short term paid parking (hourly) zones in the center – a Green one and a Blue one. They are active only during the day and the municipality of Sofia has given detailed information about the reach of those zones and provided a map.
Green zone
Parking limit: The maximum duration of parking in this zone is up to 4 hours. If you have exceeded 4 hours stay, need to be in your car for 15 minutes, waiting for the system to reset and after that it can start over.
• Working hours: Weekdays in the time range from 08.30 am to 19:30.
• Price: The price of parking in the Green zone is 1 BGN per hour.
• Payment: either by token, by SMS to phone number 1303 (see below for more detail) or download SMS parking app.
Blue zone
Parking limit: The maximum duration of parking in this zone is up to 2 hours. If you have exceeded 2 hours stay, need to be in your car for 15 minutes, waiting for the system to reset and after that it can start over.

Blue (M2) line services Lavov Most Station/ Lions’s bridge. Please keep in mind that Sofia Subway runs from 5:30 AM till midnight. All stations are wheelchair accessible.
Stations in Sofia have unique design and you can easily identify Lavov most by numerous street lights, bridges and two Lions.
You are about 50m away (1 min) away from the apartment.
Sofia Airport Terminal 2
Please be advised that the subway stops only on Terminal 2 of the Sofia Airport.
All major airlines except Wizz Air operate from this terminal. If you happen to arrive at Terminal 1, there are free shuttle buses every 30 minutes that can take you from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 and vice versa.
If you land at Terminal 2, just head left past Departures to the metro’s entrance at one side of the terminal. The station is called Летище София/ (Sofia Airport).
Next to the statue of the enchanting Orpheus, you will find rather ordinary ticket vending machines. They have a menu in English.
If you are tech shy, you can head for the ticket office to find additional information and a person selling tickets.
There, you can also purchase a multi-travel electronic card for the metro.
A single electronic multi-travel card, pre-loaded with ten rides, costs 12 BGN to buy;

Downtown – Ancient Roman Town of Serdika
SERDIKA I and SERDIKA II stations is the ONLY intersection between subway lines in Sofia.
SERDIKA II is 1 stop away from the apartment.
The station is named after the ancient city of Serdica, as it lies in the very center of the hitherto unearthed ruins of that city. These are located about six meters (20 feet) below ground and, along with the opening of Serdika II station, a large section of the old city has been exposed and is in full view both around and inside the two stations. Serdika is one of only three metro stations in the world where the same line passes through the station twice in a pretzel configuration.

Top 10 Things to Do and See in Sofia
If you are reading this, then you are most likely visiting Sofia for the first time. No worries! We are here to guide you through your first experience with a list of essential things to do and see in Bulgaria’s capital and largest city.
Sofia’s city center is very compact and walking is the best way to get your bearings and experience the Bulgarian lifestyle. It is inevitable that you will end up on Vitosha boulevard. It is by far the busiest pedestrian zone in our capital full of many great bars, restaurants and shops.

It is inevitable that you will end up on Vitosha boulevard. It is by far the busiest pedestrian zone in our capital full of many great bars, restaurants and shops.
You will be surprised how green Sofia is. Large parks and smaller green areas are one of Sofia’s great advantages. Make sure to enjoy at least a couple of hours walking around Geo Milev park, South Park or Borisova Garden (Sofia’s largest park). However, probably the most crowded one of them all is the City Garden. Also known as “the garden in front of the National Theatre” it truly is one of the most social places in town. Enjoy a drink or two with your friends in this great outdoor environment!

You will be surprised how green Sofia is. Large parks and smaller green areas are one of Sofia’s great advantages.
