This little gem is in the middle of the Anacostia River. It's home to the Kingman Island Bluegrass Festival every April, and has some lovely walking paths.

There are some really cool collections at the arboretum, which is a very large park. In the spring, you can see cherry blossoms; in the cooler months, there are guided full moon hikes.
