Honey's is also part art gallery for local artists AND they sell some nice art supplies along with local artist goods AND they also have an enticing collection of books to buy. Sometimes they house an indoor local farmer market. Occasionally have live music (Sunday afternoons?) and artist openings.

Sightseeing

Winter info: Beartooth All-American Road closes for the winter season and re-opens on Memorial Day weekend. Load the car and drive up the scenic Beartooth Highway. It's know by locals as "the pass" as in Beartooth Mountain Pass. Please be patient when you pass the cyclists! Shine up the camera lens or break out the selfie-stick because you'll want to shoot some photos in this awe-inspiring iconic mountain drive. Take time to get out and walk around. Bring a jacket, as temperatures can drop, and it could even snow. Pack the cooler for a picnic lunch or drive into Cooke City (read-not really a city!) for a fun mountain town restaurant lunch.

Winter update: Cooke City-Silver Gate is not accessible in the winter. The Beartooth Pass closes each Labor Day and reopens on Memorial Day. In summer: Make a day of driving the Beartooth Pass and continue west until you reach these little towns. Have lunch on a patio, a glass of wine. Ask your girlfriend to marry you. It's that kind of beautiful.

During the winter season, YNP is not a day option trip from BearCreek/Red Lodge. In summer: OK, everyone wants to "do Yellowstone in a day". Seeing it all in a day--it can't really be done. I suggest that if you have just one day, plan to enjoy the drive (either through Cody--east entrance or via the Beartooth Highway/Pass--north east entrance) and determine a few sights within the park (check with a map--it's a huge park!) that you'd like to see. In the summer, YNP is busy and, driving within the park is slow. Be patient, pack a cooler, some fun music, selfie stick. Don't, I repeat DON'T approach wild animals. They are wild. They are not trained. They can hurt you!
