There is a small park with a bench and a stream overlooking the school playing field beside the Air Bnb down past the playing field by the big carpark. We are also next door to Mainland Soccer playing ground. And we are also walking distance to Abberley Park, St Albans Park and Malvern Park which are larger parks.

Traveler advice

Don't miss

Ride a bike to see Christchurch the best way

Hire a bike or do a cycle tour. City Cycles drop and pick up bikes to your door as do Chill who also do bike tours. You can store your bike overnight at our Air Bnb in the cycle shed behind the front gate. Please send us a message if you do this so we know whose bike it is. Always lock it. Helmets are compulsory in NZ. (http://www.tfc.govt.nz/travel-by/bike/cycle-map/) https://www.chillout.nz/collections/urban-bike-hire http://www.cyclehire-tours.co.nz/bike-rentals-christchurch.html

If you need medical care

If you need medical care in Christchurch, you can go to the 24 Hour Surgery at 401 Madras St. It is the closest and open 24/7. They do not take appointments so you have to show up and wait. Check their website for costs and prices vary depending on the day/time you visit. There is also Healthline: a free telephone service, 24 hours a day 7 days a week, that: - is staffed by registered nurses - gives confidential and reliable advice about medical problems, and where you can get help Air Bnb won't let me give the number so search for 'Healthline NZ'.
