Beaches

Good beach, and a walk over to Burgh Island, where the ‘Pilchard Inn’ awaits you - but only when the tide's out - or take the sea tractor when it's in! Toilets, shop and cafe

Huge, south facing beach, and the nearest, with lovely circular coast walks. Access by car is.... daunting in the summer as the single track lane gets very busy, but persevere and it’s worth it. Park in the N Trust carpark for £6 non-members, which is accessed over the head of the beach. Toilets and gastro bus

A bit of a trek, but not as far as Bigbury, even if using the tidal road, and the best beach for many miles - huge! Gastro bus, pizzas but the toilet block is quite a hike

Farm shops

There are 2 nearby, Springfield is new and is between West Charleton & Frogmore. Minimal stuff, but good butchers and excellent, cheap locally grown veg. Stokely is between Stokenham & Torcross and is big, with a good butchers, nice bread and excellent cafe with a nice outside eating area, plus little garden centre.
Very ancient working port, from where the Pilgrim Fathers sailed. Take a tour of Brittania Royal Naval College, where officers of the RN (and other friendly nations) have always been trained.
