In 1980, Shawarma Grill-house opened the first Lebanese restaurant on Strøget in Copenhagen. It was the first Shawarma restaurant, not only in Denmark, but throughout Scandinavia. It resulted in a whole new revolutionary type of food that was healthy and prepared from the best quality ingredients, from the homemade marinade to the meat, as well as the much-talked about chili sauce, also homemade, based on our own secret recipes.

Stevns Klint Experience is the primary arrival and dissemination point for Stevns Klint. Stevns Klint is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it contains the story of the great mass extinction 66 million years ago, when half of the Earth's animal species became extinct - including the dinosaurs. You can experience that story in the Stevns Klint Experience – among beautiful fossils, digital games, dinosaur skeletons, meteorites and a gigantic limestone block carved out of Stevns Klint. Traveler advice

Getting around

Public transport in Copenhagen

To get around in Copenhagen with public transport, I recommend you to get a CityPass large or Copenhagen Card. Both of them cover transports to/from our places. The difference is that Copenhagen Card covers admissions to many museums, palaces, etc. You can read more about them here: https://copenhagencard.com/ https://dinoffentligetransport.dk/citypass
Ways to save

Shopping

Using creditcard is easier than cash in Copenhagen. Some of the department stores like Magasin du Nord and Illum offer a discount for foreign tourists. Show your passport, you can get a 10% discount besides tax-free refund. If you live in the EU, you can't get tax free refund, but only the 10% discount. (You should check this on the stores' homepage for latest update) For groceries, you should be able to find most of the things in supermarkets like Netto, Aldi, Lidl, Superbrugen, Føtex, Irma. Netto, Aldi, Lidl are relatively cheaper, Irma is relatively expensive but with good quality items.
