My favorite breakfast spot! In walking distance. Cash Only! You may have to wait a short time, but it is worth it for a home-cooked breakfast. Sheila, the owner, is the cook and prepares your meal as if you were family.

Look no further for your Taco Tuesday destination. $1 Tacos and $3 Coronas and Margaritas. The best part is that Tuesday is also Trivia Night! If Tacos aren't your thing, I highly recommend the blackened chicken nachos. On any other night besides Monday there is either music or comedy. And you can also order food from Gypsy Cab Co. next door.

This has been a favorite in my family for as long as I can remember. Hands down the best salad (and salad dressing). Check the "cab fare" on their website before you go as the menu changes according to day and time. There is always something for every taste. Seriously though, you have to try the house salad dressing. I call it "liquid gold."

Finally stopped by here while we were out on the boat and were not disappointed. The ambience is everything. I could hang out here all day if they would let me. The food and drinks are upscale.

You can't leave St. Augustine without visiting the Fountain of Youth! It is, in my opinion, the best way to learn about the founding of St. Augustine. Plus it is fun and set in beautiful scenery. Magnolia Avenue is known as one of the most scenic streets in the US.

Some of the most fascinating history of St. Augustine. This is a must-do if you're interested in history. If you're not interested in history, go for the sights or have a picnic on the fort lawn.

A mesh of history and contemporary culture in St. Augustine. The St. Augustine Distillery is located in the old Ice Plant building (which also houses the Ice Plant bar and restaurant). The complimentary tour and tasting is a MUST DO. Everything there makes a perfect gift too!

Flagler College offers tours daily and showcases the most beautiful buildings in St. Augustine (in my opinion). Learn about Henry Flagler and how he was instrumental in making St. Augustine what it is today.

Events

If you are in town primarily to see a concert at the amphitheatre, great - you won't be disappointed! There isn't a bad seat at the amphitheatre. But if you are just in town on any given weekend, stop here for the local farmer's market on Saturday morning. In addition to food, you will find gifts and services from various small businesses and even live music! They also have the night market one Tuesday per month. Check their website for other free community events.

Night (or Day) Life

My local watering hole. The perfect atmosphere (mostly outside) with a fantastic view of the Fort and bayfront. There is almost always live music. This place is what you make it. If you want to take it easy and relax, OR turn up and dance...you're in the right place! Oh, and it's one of the few places that is always open on the holidays.

"The best people-watching place in St. Augustine" This cozy pub is the perfect place to get a sandwich and a pint! Sit outside on the porch and watch all the passersby. The building is historic and unique.

The winery has the best atmosphere in St. Augustine whether you are having lunch, dinner, or just drinks! There's almost always live music and dancing. My personal favorite is Vitner's Red wine. The rooftop features inside and outside lounging and dining areas, but if you go during the day, make sure to take their complimentary tasting tour of the rest of the facility.

History. Craft Cocktails. Food. Need I say more? Honestly, it's just fun to go here. You have to see the bathrooms. No, I'm not joking, the entire place features original architecture and fixtures from the building's original purpose which was - wait for it - an Ice Plant. It has a prohibition era feel to it. Make sure to take a tour of the St. Augustine Distillery while you're here.

My favorite time to come here is on a Sunday afternoon to sit on the outside patio and listen to the band while I sip on a cocktail. When the band finishes, go upstairs to play a game of pool or darts.

This is one of my favorite places to come and relax. Reggae Sunday is a MUST! It is easy to spend hours here. Eat at the restaurant then head out to the marina for drinks and live music. If a fishing charter or boat tour is in your plans, then you will find that here as well.
