Northwest of the Orangery you will find a small area called Skavkulla. Overlooking the sea towards the left from the Orangery, you can see the Skavkulla jetty, with the Trömto nature reserve behind. You can wander around in Skavkulla via Hellegrensväg, Grönadalsvägen, take the first gravel road to the left Kullingsväg, Mjöviksvägen, Skavkullavägen and Mastvägen. Apart from the coastline, you pass some lakes with nesting birds.

By car, bicycle or bus 154 to Hasslö, you can via Skavkulla, Färmanstorp and Tromtesunda visit Tromtö or Almö. In these protected nature reserves are nice picnic areas and hiking trails. Tip: take the path "Strandstigen" starting from the Tromtö parking lot, it leads to a nice picnic / barbecue place with lovely views right over the sea. And guess what, in the distance you'll see the orangery!

Arguably the most photographed place in Sweden. Wandering trough this pittoresque, car-free community garden is strongly recommended! You can also rent the Orangery's motorboat and moor right beside it :)

Straight from the Orangery towards the west, you look over the island and nature-reserve Haglö. It's pretty big, great for wandering around. You can moor our motor-boat at its jetty, or just swim towards it during summertime. There are some really old, huge oaks, an ancient stone quarry and a beach to visit.

Scandinavia’s biggest safari park. Driving through the gate into Eriksberg Hotel & Nature Reserve is like entering a new world. Here you will meet wildlife on the animals’ terms, with wild red deer, fallow deer, Père David's deer, European bison, wild boar and moufflon roaming freely together.

Skillingenäs is a peninsula (half-island) that you can walk around. If you follow leftwards from the beach by the Orangery, you'll find after some 5-10 minutes walking on Skillingenäsvägen a nice viewpoint on the hill at the south -west tip to the right. From there you have a great view over the archipelago. There's another nice view point with picnick table at the east side from Kopparrännevägen. For Jogging or just wondering around, the Orangery is a great starting point! You are always surrounded by water, eastwards you can find a large, newly constructed wetland. Another nice little longer walk is eastwards along the coast via Skillingenäs, Lövenäs, Mjövikstrand over a small bridge to the island Blörkholmen, or a bit further out via Mjövik, Tallholmen to the island Nötholmen. They can be reached via Hellegrens väg, Mor Mias väg and Dalamadsvägen. When halfway, take the "unofficial" path eastwards at your right via Lövenäsvägen to Mjövikstrand. There are nice picknick places by the water. If you want, you can walk further via Mjövikstrandvägen and follow the coast all the way to Nättraby. Recommended!
