My favorite place for tapas in Barcelona. Expect 1 hour queue, which you can reduce if going in no-rush hours (after 3.30pm or after 11pm). Both locals and tourists in there.

My favorite place for paella, in the Barceloneta neighborhood. It´s not as touristy as the others restaurant around and the quality is quite good. Family owned, so I think this is what makes the difference.
