Guidebook for Puerto Aventuras

Puerto Aventuras is situated between Playa del Carmen and Tulum both of which are interesting places and fun to visit. Along the highway towards Tulum are many cenotes that you can visit and take a swim in these fantastic underground rivers. Across the highway from the resort is the Publato which is a growing Mexican town in itself. If you are adventurous and want to see how the Mexicans live this is your place. Things are cheaper here but most speak only Spanish. Also the main supermarket, Chedraui, is here next to the highway. Contrary to the image sometimes portrayed in the U.S. the Mexican people are warm and hard working people. Use the same caution and good sense you would use back home when going to these towns.
