Activities

Great location for rainy days or for during the winter for those that aren't participating in outdoor sports. There is a great zero entry and small play structure for the little ones. A bigger slide and lazy river and a huge hot tub. An indoor climbing wall and tumble gymnasium are also available. Call for hours.

Park with small playground and kids fishing pond. Right next to the river. There is a bait shop in downtown Granby a few minutes from this park.

Great playground for multiple ages. Paid ropes course that is really fun. Hockey rink (not one that we've personally used but we hear it's great).

This is an established hot springs near Kremmling. A primitive warm springs is also nearby (Radium Hot Springs) but requires a hike to get to. https://www.uncovercolorado.com/hot-springs/radium-hot-springs/ Folks often cliff jump at Radium - use caution as the jump is dangerous and safety is often determined by river levels, etc.

Hiking

Adams Falls is a great, family-friendly hike located just past Grand Lake, a 30 minute drive from the house. The hike can be a short out and back with a spectacular view of the falls, or you can go farther afield hiking past the river into the valley and RMNP territory. This is a fairly easy hike and can get busy but it's a stunner.

A personal favorite. The hike up to the Broome Hut via Second Creek trail is chock full of spectacular views. It's a quick hike (1 mile each way) which climbs 800' on the way up to the hut. You can hike beyond the hut to make for a longer route (information on trails available at the trailhead and at the Broome Hut).

The area is home to spectacular mountain scenery and dense lodgepole pine forests. Hiking opportunities in Arapaho National Recreation Area include Monarch Lake Trail, Roaring Fork Trail, and East Shore Trail. As you enter the park from Highway 34, you'll continue down the dirt/gravel road, driving alongside the lake for about 10 miles. At the end of that road, you'll find a small parking lot that fills up quickly. Just past that lot you'll find Monarch Lake - a great location for fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, and playing around near the lake.

Far nicer than the surrounds or the exterior of the building suggest. This is a great spot for a more special meal during your visit.
