Things to do in the Point Arena area.
The historic Point Arena Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on the West coast that visitors can climb to the very top of to enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful Mendocino coastline. You can also visit the Museum, shop in the Gift Store, and walk on the grounds during business hours. Dogs are welcome on a leash everyone on the grounds and in the Museum, but not in the tower (except service animals). It's a great stop to experience this historic locations, take in the views, and maybe do some whale watching.

The B Bryan Preserve is a private preserve actively committed to the breeding and preservation of African hoof Stock. Daily tours of the preserve must be booked in advance.

Located just one hour north of the Point Arena Lighthouse, in the town of Casper, the preserve occupies a spectacular headland thrusting out into the Pacific. As you start to walk down the access road, the Point Cabrillo Light Station is arrayed before you, made up of the Lighthouse itself and three original lightkeepers' houses and outbuildings. The lighthouse, which has been fully restored, is open every day of the year (including Thanksgiving and Christmas) from 11:00 AM till 4:00 PM.
