Walk to Hiking Spots

There are a few lovely parks walking distance, here's a few of them. There are too many to list here.
This hike can be short and sweet with an easy path, or challenging and long with hills. Note* Burnside is the divider between North and South for all of Portland Oregon. The Easy Way the pathway begins at SW 24th and Burnside. This path is wheelchair accessible most of the way, but not totally. The Challenging Way cross Burnside at NW 23rd and head uphill, turn right at the light and the top of that hill is Washington Park.

This park is just past Washington Park, there are signs directing where to go. Beautiful views, beautiful flowers, an outdoor amphitheater, play structure and covered picnic area. The zoo used to have a train, but they are turning it into walking trails.

Challenging Hike, this place is straight uphill. Over 100 years ago there was a trolly that came up here to a large amusement park. The Farris Wheel, which was made of wood, was hit by lightening several times and rebuilt before the current monument was erected. Beautiful views of the East and West.
