The 309 Road has a number of places of interest. The beautiful Waiau Kauri Grove, an easy walk to a waterfall where you can swim or the swimming hole at Egans Park. There is also The Waterworks which is a great day out for the kids. You can stop and see the wild pigs and maybe even have the chance for a cuddle with a piglet
