The area is blessed with miles of sandy beaches, some you'll virtually have to yourselves, others have activities and more visitors.
The quiet and peaceful beach is great for children and walkers with a three mile stretch of sand to Clogherhead. There is also a very rare nesting ground of the little tern and the iconic shipwreck.
