Beautiful Park 3 minute drive from the house. Has a public beach, playground, fishing ponds (no liscence needed) and even a working train railroad tracks that children can hitch a ride on! Also right across the street from the sculpture park.

Has a nice hiking trail, mountain biking and lovely picnic areas. Highly recommended for a days outing. And if you are into challenging technical rock climbing this is the place for you!!
A little over an hour drive from the house. Just south of the city of Boulder (a stunning place to visit in an of itself) this state park features impressive cliffs and a fast flowing river. World famous for rock climbing. If you are there on any kind of a nice weather day no doubt you will spot climbers from around the world trying out their skills. Lovely picnic area by the river and visitor center.

If you are there on any kind of a nice weather day no doubt you will spot climbers from around the world trying out their skills. Lovely picnic area by the river and visitor center.
