Atchison's Farmer's Market is quite large for our size of town. It's open Saturdays from 8am-Noon and Wednesdays from 2:30-5:30pm. Check out St. Andre Orchard's booth and Crunchy Granola!

This is one of our go to spots for breakfast during the week and on Saturday mornings. Try their biscuits and gravy (with extra sausage) as well as their pancake platter. Do note that they are a cash only restaurant.

O'Malley's is so unique! The bar is a part of the Weston Brewing Company and is in a cellar from the 1840s several stories underground. There is live music every weekend (Thurs-Sun). We recommend any of their Irish coffees and the "Bailey's Comet."

Benedictine College is the largest private school in Kansas. - over 1,900 students call it home. The campus is beautifully perched above the Missouri River. There are also two coffee shops and a dining hall on campus.

Atchison is home to a vast collection of stately, turn-of-the-century Victorian mansions, and the three-story brick Queen Anne on Fourth Street is one of the most impressive. Built in 1885 by lumber merchant George Howell, the 14-room beauty boasts a slate roof, eyebrow windows, and an inviting wraparound porch.
The house is now owned and maintained by The Muchnic Foundation, which has graciously made it available to the community. Since 1970 the house has been dedicated to exhibition space for the Atchison Art Association. Art classes, special events and rotating exhibits of some of our region's finest artists are featured throughout the year.
Open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday 1-5 pm.

Jackson Park is huge! We enjoy playing disc golf here. There are nice shelters, children's play equipment, and views of the Missouri River.

Warnock Lake is a community jewel, a scenic expansive park space featuring fishing and no-wake boating as well as a campground, playgrounds, and walking trails. Adjacent to the International Forest of Friendship – a beautiful arboretum and memorial garden.
