I do not recommend the dinner salads. The clam chowder is amazing and a must if you are a clam chowder lover.

Just a short walk from the peir. Ask for the rolls that just came out of the oven or are about to be coming out of the oven. I order cream cheese. If I can't get them hot I won't buy a roll.

Elephant Seals in San Simeon
Past Heart Castle on HWY 1 there is a sign White Elephant Seals. Free parking and free to walk down the path. Beautiful drive and amazing to observe the enormous Elephant seals.
If you go North past San Simeon look for the signs for elephant seals. They are on the west side of the freeway. Park your car and watch the incredible, enormous flabby mammals.

Drive up the state Park Road to the end and park your car. Walk is about a 15 minute slight up hill incline. Absolutely beautifull 360 degree views. I go up the hill about 20 minutes before sunset.
