Wonderful, hearty and old-fashioned food with a menu that includes liver, tripe, or whatever else the chef has found that's good. Comfy and friendly.

Our absolute favorite coffee in Cologne...delicious and served by playful, happy people (Jlöcklich means "happy" in the local Kölsch dialect, and it fits!). It's right next to the Eigelsteintor, one of the remnants of the ancient city wall, the gate to the north, and there definitely an old-world feeling to sitting outside here.

Sightseeing

This is it, in Cologne. Well worth wandering in anytime you want some meditation. I was there once when the organ was being tuned...and being a musician myself, was in heaven. Climb the tower, too, on a fine day, and you can see all the way up the Rhine River to Bonn.
