It's a great place to have a beer at the end of the day (they do have one marvellous beer garden) or even a great place to grab something to eat at dinner, while enjoying one of their many beers.

One of our favourite restaurants in Porto. Closed on Saturday dinner and on Sundays. Arroz de Pato (duck rice) is a must. For desert, ask for Rabanadas (a sweet from the Christmas season that they serve all year round).

Amazing steak and Francesinha's house. You need to make a reservation before hand otherwise you won't get lucky. You may try to arrive early but it's risky.

If you're into seefood, we recommend this place. Otherwise, you need to go to Matosinhos. There you'll have tons of places to eat fish and seafood. But in Porto's downtown, this is the place.

This is a very typical and old Portuguese taverna. Amazing for Tripas (Porto's traditional dish, served on Thursdays and Saturdays). Only serves at lunch. This place is super cheap! (Tripas for one person for 3,5€!)

Everything Else

It's the most traditional market you'll find in Porto. We shop some groceries (specially fish) there. It's under renovation so don't mind all the hassle related to it because the magic is still there. Go early in the morning to try to see the locals doing their shopping.
