Parks & Nature

One of Munich biggest parks is the Olympia park, which was built für the Olympic games in 1972. Not only does the campus have unique architecture, on top of the hill you also have a great view over the whole city. There are Olympic sport venues, small lakes, the Sea Life park and the Olympic tower that you can visit. You can either walk from the appartment to the park (approx. 25 min. or 15 min jogging) or take the subway (U-Bahn station Petuelring, approx. 6 min.). Also not far away from the Olymic park is the BMW museum.

The English Garden is the green lung of Munich. With its 375 hectar space it is one of the largest parks in the world. For us residents of Munich it is the best place to have an afternoon walk on the week-end. You can find people of all ages doing all kinds of activities, from bbqing, to playing games and playing music. There are some attractions in the park, like the Chinese tower and its beergarden and the Eisbach (side creek of the Isar river), on which some windsurfers practice their tricks in front of many spectators during summer time. The northern part of the park is more quiet and "wild" while the southern part is usually more crowded. If you come to Munich, this park is a must see.

Arts & Culture

BMW (Bayrische Motorenwerke) is one of the most iconic automakers wolrd-wide and has its headquarters in beautiful Munich. Next to their headquarters you can find the BMW museum, which displays a range of the automakers most fascinating and successful car models. Since it is located next to the Olympic park, it is worth a combined visit to both venues.
