This is one of the most beautiful spots you will find in Colorado. You will find rock formations that are a little bit different from where you come from. There is a reason why this park has it's name. Make sure that you check out the trading post on the south end of the park. It's a great place to grab a beer on the back patio and check out some Native American art.

The crisp air and smell of the ponderosa pines give a distinctive feeling to this 385-acre regional park. There are spectacular views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range. The developed area, with turf playfields, tennis courts, playground, and two picnic pavilions were created in natural openings of the forest.

We highly recommend heading upstairs to truly enjoy all that Hacienda has to offer. There is ample seating in the bar area, and when the weather is nice the garage doors open up to incredible mountain views. Best Margaritas in town. Our favorites are the Timmer and Swirl.

If you're into upscale dining, this is the finest northern El Paso County has to offer. We typically sit at the bar during happy hour, which is 4p-6p daily. Ask the bartender about the patio out back. One of the best spots in town for enjoying Rocky Mountain views.

This is one of our favorite local spots. It's right near Colorado College in the old north end. We recommend a panino or calzone. Come hungry and try their house wines; you can't beat their liter pricing.

Love their happy hour during the week from 2p-6p. Best Old Fashioned and Moscow Mule in town. Or you can pickup some meat from their butcher shop to cook on the Weber grill on the patio here in Walden.

If you're into bourbon, this is the place for you. Make sure you ask for the Bourbon Room when you arrive, as that is truly the way to experience the best of this establishment. Bacon and eggs are also a great appetizer if you're into unique pairings...and it's one of the few places in town that serve fried pickles.

This is the best place in town for moonshine. In the back of JJ Track's Tire & Auto, this is truly a unique experience. I know it sounds weird, but check it out.
