Food Scene

Lime and Basil has great Thai food and a Songkran garden to match! Very reminiscent of my days spent on the beaches of Tonsai and busy streets of Bangkok. Would recommend their Fresh Spring Rolls and Pad Thai paired :)

Great for brunch on lazy weekends :) Would recommend their Spaghetti Carbonnara and hefty portion of Croque Monsieur sandwich with fries. They also serve comforting hot chocolate paired with ensaimada (you can request for it to be toasted).

Sonya's Garden is known for it's Old English style flora and secret spots and nooks to relax in. They also offer buffet menu for lunch or dinner and have small "Panaderia" bakery. I would recommend their cheese hopia, freshly baked!

Essentials

Twin Lakes has Robinson's Grocery, open until 9PM and an ATM machine/pharmacy. There's also Starbucks, La Creperie, Bag of Beans, 7/11, and other restaurants/cafe's. They also offer a good view of Taal Lake. We like to go here for coffee and a good book on weekdays, since it gets pretty crowded on weekends and holidays. If parking is full on weekends, there's a basement parking found under the grocery.

Mt. Batulao hiking trail is good for day trip adventures :) Drop off point is about 8km from The Blue Cottage (10-15 mins) and you need to hire a guide. Bring lots of water, snacks and keep your camera charged for those iconic views!
