Food Scene

One of the best places in Old Town. Small, French cousine, good wine, cosy. May need to book a table in advance, there are not that many tables.

Nice walk, around these two little islands (Skeppsholmen and Kastellholmen) and if you have been to Moderna Museet (MOMA) this is a good alternative to the often crowded and noisy restaurant at the museum. Good food, quiet and just a pleasant place to hang out. And nobody knows about it. Well, now you do.

Sightseeing

Best preserved disaster of the 17th century. The crown-jewel of the Swedish navy sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and was preserved in its entirety and put in a very large house. Check it out. They did a good job of presenting it too.

Very nice walk. To do both Skeppsholmen and Kastellholmen (the smaller of the islands) takes about 50 min if you follow the shoreline. Recommended.

Parks & Nature

Take the ferry across the street and go for a lovely walk on the shoreside of Djurgården. There are some nice cafes and some of the citys most loved tourist attractions are there: Wasa-museum (17th century war ship that sank, was preserved and put in a museum), Skansen (outdoors museum and zoo), Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde (the home of the much loved "Prince of art" now a museum and gallery. They also have a cafe in the former kitchen), Thielska Galleriet (lovely museum of art with a cafe), Nordiska Museet (museum of local history and traditions), Gröna Lund (amusement park). Personally I like to walk there.

Lovely place for a walk or picknick. Also nearby is the house of butterflies, witch is a greenhouse full of butterflies. Weird and interesting experience.

If you want to check out well designed and stylish clothes, both men and women. Medium range prices. This is a brand that's been around for a while and has become the favorite among fashion designers due to their low-key, classic, yet very personal design. Check it out.

Drinks & Nightlife

This a bar with a view. They are very good at mixing drinks too. They also have a very popular restaurant. Personally I don't think it's worth the money. Better option is to just go for the bar. It's a classy place but snobbish.
