The coffee & drinks are tasty, but it's the staff here that makes this place super sweet. Cute ambiance to relax or work in.

Tasty brunch spot that can get quite busy. If you don't want to wait, just go to the bakery and grab something sweet to go. If you go for brunch they have a mimosa sampler, which is a great way to start your day.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Portland--and I've made so many great memories here...the ones that I can remember of course--their happy hour vodka special has gotten me a couple of times. The food is excellent, so tasty. We keep coming back here for the pelmini and vareniki, but you got to start it off with an order of bread and whipped salo. Happy hour starts at 10 PM!

The Broder has a couple locations now, but this was the original. Put your name on the list and be prepared to wait, especially on a weekend. I recommend showing up after 1:30/2 PM for a shorter wait time (they close at 3PM). but they do have coffee for you while you do so. If the record shop next store is open you can browse their vinyls while you wait.

I prefer this place to the hype that is Salt & Straw. I also just think the ice cream tastes better. They have a great mixture of unique flavors and classics. Plus unless it's a hot summer day or evening, I've never had to wait in a 20 min line.

Drinks & Nightlife

Partially covered patio + heat lamps + the desire to smoke + have a drink = perfect spot. In the summer they have cornhole. Oh and make sure you say hi to Max the cat, he lives here.

Hip vibe, with DJs playing sometimes, a photo-booth, and partially covered outside patio. They have a newer type of photo booth that sends photos to your phone instead of printing them out. Order the grilled cheese & tomato soup if you want a late night nosh.
