Food Scene

The monumental building ‘Het Broeker Huis’ in Broek in Waterland is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5 pm. This is our favourite restaurant in the immediate area. You sit in a beautiful room or outside in the very beautiful, secluded courtyard. Besides the very tasty starters and main courses they also serve pizzas (€10) and pastas (€14). A daily menu costs about €30. The wine list is extensive and the owner Jeppe can inform you very well. You can find The Broeker Huis on Leeteinde 16, which is the canal left of the church. More information: www.broekerhuis.nl. Reservations are absolutely necessary because the building is also regularly used for private parties and weddings: 020-4031314.

Broek in Waterland is a beautiful village with a church from the 14th century and dozens of monumental houses. This colourful old houses have a wooden construction because of the soft ground in the area.
