Surfing

A great surf spot with surf shops and food places. In the Summer we love Surfside right on the beach which also has a great cocktail bar.

Lovely Beach, probably closest northern beach to the house. Closest car parks get full but there is a field at the back that opens up in summer months. Great pizzas and an independent surf shop.

Such nice cider, especially the sparkling! Buy direct from them in Lostwithiel, in the industrial estate. Also they do a gin tasting afternoon.

Great local deli. In particular the home-made quiches, the pastry is very good.

Beach

Great local beach. Children love jumping off the harbour wall when the tide is full. In the summer they have a pontoon for the kids and also paddleboard hire. There is a tiny car park right next to the beach but not worth trying in the summer months. You can walk from Par train station, a nice coastal walk but will take around 40mins. Also has a nice pub and a restaurant.

Lovely beach. Go early or late in the day as tend to get packed. In the Summer month it has a pontoon. Close to Fowey so you can walk there for lunch or supper.

This beautiful spot is only about a 15mins drive from Lostwithiel. It is a harbour village but pick the right time for the tides then their is a choice of 2 beaches or walk along to Carolyn Bay. Haven’t yet eaten here but there is a wealth of places to eat, an impressive looking steak and seafood restaurant, lots of cool independent pop ups too and places for a Cornish cream tea.
