Traveler advice

Getting around

Parking is unusually expensive

Parking in Calgary is expensive and heavily patrolled. Watch out for the major streets that tow during rush hour (this will be listed on pertinent parking signs though). Major providers are ParkPlus, Impark, and Indigo, all of which have apps available.
Getting around

Public transportation is excellent

Calgary's fast and efficient public transit system makes it easy to reach Downtown from any corner of the city. There's also a "free fare zone" on the downtown portion of the C-Train. Learn more at calgarytransit.com.

Walking / Scooters

BIKE AND WALKING PATHS: Calgary has some of the most extensive path and bikeway networks in North America linking all areas of the city together. Watch out for right-turn lanes that intersect with bike lanes. Learn more at maps.calgary.ca/PathwaysandBikeways. SCOOOTERS: Calgary recently piloted a scooter program with Lime and Bird, available mostly downtown. Learn more at li.me/locations/calgary or bird.co.
