It’s obviously a gorgeous place to canoe, kayak, hike, swim, fish, view the fall foliage, or cross country ski in the winter.

Flagstaff Lake can be seen from the house. You can follow our road into Bigelow Preserve for a hand-carry boat launch or access a free public beach just a few miles north at Cathedral Pines Campground, where there's a great swimming spot for all ages. Cathedral Pines is also next to Pines Market, which rents canoes, kayaks and SUPs for use on the lake. Fishing in Flagstaff is enjoyed in the summer & winter months. There's also a larger boat launch about one mile north of our home.

In the neighborhood

Flagstaff General Store is right at the end of our road and is a hidden gem. When my family stays, we frequent this spot for baked goodies, ice cream, the usual pizza, candy & beer; but they also have an extensive food menu that includes really great hot and cold sandwiches. In season, they always have homemade soup too!
