For a change, Do you want to stay in and eat home cooked food? I can highly recommend home cooked frozen meals from the brand Cook, the meals are situated in the freezer section at Booths Supermarket in Windermere. Perfect for a night in. If you are driving through Windermere in your way to Ambleside, call in at Booths supermarket, opposite Windermere train station.

For a change, Do you want to stay in and eat home cooked food? I can highly recommend home cooked frozen meals from the brand Cook, the meals are situated in the freezer section at Booths Supermarket in Windermere. Perfect for a night in. If you are driving through Windermere in your way to Ambleside, call in at Booths supermarket, opposite Windermere train station.

Sightseeing

Access to Loughrigg Fell immediately from the garden. Head out of the house front door, walk around the house to the right, follow the path to the right, see the little gate access to Loughrigg Fell. Walk through the woods up hill, 10 or 15 minute walk to a viewing bench, lovely spot to take a picnic breakfast. Continue up hill for more views and a multitude of walks. At the top of the hill with Lake Windermere behind you, You can access Ambleside town if you keep to the right paths or take the left paths that can lead towards Grasmere. Use the phone app Komoot for route guidance on many of walks in the area.
