What to pack
Recreation is everywhere. Lakeshore, Hiking, golf, ….
Bring sunscreen, water shoes, floaties and life jackets for fun in the lake. Golf clubs, bikes, hiking shoes are all a bonus.
Customs and culture
Beautiful weather and homelessness
Sadly, there are many people who are homeless who come to Vernon and other Okanagan towns because of the climate.
Donations to the food bank and the Mission are ways to help. Make sure you lock up your car and do not leave valuables in view.
