This is a vast sandy beach at low tide which stretches to Burgh island with the renowned Pilchard Inn built in 1336. The beach is dotted with rock pools and has a wide and varied selection of water sports. The beach has a great café and life guards.

Berry Pomeroy Castle is a Tudor mansion within the walls of an earlier castle. It was built in the late 15th century by the Pomeroy family which had held the land since the 11th century. Be sure to book tour tickets in advance with English Heritage

We love this place. Our closest favourite. The beach can only be accessed on foot, so park at Broadsands and take a stroll along the coastal path. The scenery at Elberry Cove is beautiful; it’s framed by wooded hillsides and the sea is crystal clear and safe to swim in.
