This is THE “must see” bar in Old San Juan. Enjoy the lounge vibe of the first bar, pass through the secret door to the cozy wine bar, keep going to the large salsa dance room, and if you still have time, keep going to yet another dance room playing electronic and club music. Made famous in the “Despacito” music video and world-renown for its excellent cocktails. Personal tip: surprise your date or your friends by first enjoying a drink at the front bar without even mentioning all of the layers behind the door. Then… “you want to see the rest of this place?”

Excellent tapas menu and original cocktails in a classic Old San Juan setting. Sit in a balcony overlooking the street or in some of their comfortable lounge furniture. If you can only eat one meal out, this may be the spot.

Excellent pizza combinations (my favorite is the La Pampa which includes some pieces of churrasco and chimichurri sauce). Charming seating downstairs, but my personal choice is the easy-to-miss upstairs hidden behind a door in the rear.

Amazing Mexican-inspired food along with several flavors of great margaritas. I highly recommend the sopa de tortilla appetizer. Has nice outdoor seating in the alley. Unfortunately, there is often a waiting list here, but the bar right next door in the alley is a great place to pass the time and enjoy tasty appetizers while you wait.

Nice outdoor setting close to the casita with a large and varied menu including pizzas, pastas, steaks, seafood, burgers, local food, etc. Good breakfast spot as well.
