Traveler advice

Getting around

Public Transit

Walking – We regularly walk the 30 minutes to 5th Ave and the beach. This does require walking across highway 307. Taxi – Across the road, in front of Centro Maya there is a taxi hub. Taxis cost 50-60 pesos per person. However, coming back from 5th Ave can cost you up to 150 pesos. We would recommend walking to 15th Ave to get a taxi back. The closer to 5th, the more expensive :) Collectivo – Across the road, in front of Centro Maya's East entrance there is a ride sharing hub. There you will find Collectivo’s with writing on the windshield of the van indicating what route it will take. In o
